Recently, on June 8, 2026, Southern Steel welcomed a Trade and Investment Promotion Delegation from Singapore to visit and work at the enterprise. Attendees of the program included Mr. Cao Xuan Thang - Vietnam Trade Counselor in Singapore; Mr. Dixon Oh Gek Soon - Vice Chairman of the Singapore Chamber of Commerce Vietnam (SingCham); Mr. Andrew Chin - Chairman of the S.M.A.R.T Singapore Entrepreneurs Club, along with representatives from numerous Singaporean enterprises.

During the working session, the parties exchanged views on the investment environment, steel industry development trends, cooperation opportunities in industrial manufacturing, logistics, supply chains, and regional market expansion. The delegation also paid a direct visit to Southern Steel’s modern production line, specialized port, logistics system, and learned about its green development orientation.

The event hosting the Singaporean business delegation marks a new milestone in the enterprise's international integration journey. Concurrently, it demonstrates the growing attractiveness of Southern Steel to the foreign business community as Vietnam becomes an important destination in the regional supply chain.

From a domestic production foundation, Southern Steel is gradually expanding its presence in international markets with high-quality products that satisfy stringent technical standards and increasing requirements for sustainable development.

In addition to traditional markets such as Cambodia and Laos, the enterprise is targeting developed markets including the US, Canada, Australia, and Europe. These are all markets that demand very high standards regarding product quality, production technology, and environmental responsibility.

Southern Steel's integration journey is built upon sustainable cooperative relationships. Among them, Cambodia is an exceptionally special market, having been attached to the enterprise since 1997, when the unit was still under the Southern Steel Corporation.

During the working session, Mr. Cao Xuan Thang - Vietnam Trade Counselor in Singapore, delivered a speech and highlighted the opportunities for Southern Steel products in the Singaporean market, as well as upon integrating into the international market.

For nearly three decades, the cooperative relationship with Cambodian partners, most notably Chip Mong Group, has always been maintained and developed in a spirit of trust and mutual benefit. Beyond being a supplier of construction materials, Southern Steel has also accompanied many important infrastructure works and construction projects in this neighboring country.

Not stopping at Southeast Asia, the enterprise has continuously expanded its international connection network in recent years. In August 2025, SSCV welcomed a delegation of representatives from Nansei Steel Company (Japan) to visit and work at the plant. Prior to that, the enterprise also engaged in contacts and exchanges with LL-resources GmbH Group (Austria) - one of the leading steel trading enterprises in Europe.

Welcoming international business delegations in succession demonstrates Southern Steel’s proactive, open, and dynamic approach to seeking new cooperation opportunities. This is also an opportunity for the enterprise to promote its image, introduce its production capacity, and update itself on new development trends in the global steel industry.

On June 9, 2026, the Delegation of Southern Steel One Member Company Limited - VNSTEEL, led by Mr. Le Viet - General Director of the Company, attended the “Can Tho - Singapore Business Meeting” program at the VSIP Can Tho Industrial Park. Within the framework of the program, Southern Steel One Member Company Limited - VNSTEEL and VSIP Can Tho officially signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU), opening up cooperation opportunities in investment, production, business, and brand development activities of the company in the coming time.

This is considered a "passport" helping Vietnamese steel products gradually penetrate deeper into developed markets. Simultaneously, it serves as evidence of the production capacity and governance caliber of Vietnamese enterprises in a competitive global environment.

In addition to the quality factor, Southern Steel emphasizes sustainable development goals. In a context where the global steel industry is shifting toward carbon emission reduction and circular economy development, the enterprise is step-by-step realizing its orientation toward eco-friendly "green steel" production.
