In his opening remarks, Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade Nguyen Sinh Nhat Tan delivered a strong message: “Vietnam’s National Brand is no longer merely about image promotion; it must be recognized as a strategic asset reflecting the country’s overall competitiveness and reputation within the global value chain.”
VNSTEEL’s transition from “quantity” to “quality”
At the forum, experts highlighted the growing challenges posed by increasingly stringent global standards on green economy and social responsibility. For the VNSTEEL system, the participation of member companies such as Southern Steel /V/ and Vietnam-Australia Steel (Vinausteel) underscores the unified brand development strategy across the entire system.

VNSTEEL’s leadership emphasized that in the “New Era,” the Vietnamese steel brand must be inseparable from its intrinsic capabilities:
- Value transformation: Enhancing technological content, transitioning from processing-based production to mastering manufacturing processes, and developing original brand manufacturing (OBM) with strong competitiveness.
- Digitalization and green transformation: Proactively applying Big Data and Artificial Intelligence (AI) in production management, while strictly complying with sustainability standards to elevate products within the global value chain.
- Consistency in quality: Building customer trust through stable product quality, considered the core factor in strengthening the brand’s “soft power” in international markets.
Aspiration to reach the global Top 25
VNSTEEL’s presence at the 2026 International Vietnam National Brand Forum demonstrates its commitment to building an independent and self-reliant steel industry. In the context of Vietnam’s National Brand value experiencing strong growth (reaching USD 519.6 billion in 2025), VNSTEEL is determined to make substantive contributions toward the goal of placing Vietnam’s brand value among the Top 25 globally in the near future.
The orientations and solutions discussed at the forum will serve as guiding principles for VNSTEEL and its member units to continue innovating, reinforcing their leading position in the domestic market, and confidently expanding internationally in the era of integration.
